Wouldn't you know it, the week after we replace the Stove, the Dishwasher dies! It was 13 years old, we replaced it after our son was born, and apparently time to replace it.
In looking at our options, I came across http://kitchenaidfire.com and it's put me off the KitchenAid (and related) brand of products. That many fires in the control panels of an Appliance should have resulted in more of a response from the manufacturer.
Currently, there appears to be a pending Class Action Lawsuit (http://www.kleinlyons.com/class-actions/current/whirlpool-dishwashers-class-action/)
Options
We are interested in Dishwashers that are under $500, that clean well and have a decent rack layout.
