Wouldn't you know it, the week after we replace the Stove, the Dishwasher dies! It's 13 years old and apparently time to replace it.
In looking at our options, I came across http://kitchenaidfire.com and it's put me off the KitchenAid (and related) brand of products. That many fires in the control panels of an Appliance should have resulted in more of a response from the manufacturer.
Currently, there appears to be a pending Class Action Lawsuit (http://www.kleinlyons.com/class-actions/current/whirlpool-dishwashers-class-action/)
Options
We are interested in Dishwashers that are under $500, that clean well and have a decent rack layout.
