At it's simplest level, BigFix can be thought of as a Remote Script Execution Client.

The BigFix environment consists of the following basic components

  • A small BES Client
  • A collection of Relay computers
  • A BigFix Server
  • Fixlets
    • IBM Created
    • Locally Created
  • Console Operators
