Conclusions

  • We need to install "stoppers" to prevent the gates from opening too wide. Setting the back of the drive mechanism on outer edge of the back of the 6x6 posts might help prevent this by changing the geometry of the arm/gate/posts.
  • There should be two batteries in parallel to prevent issues with not enough voltage/amperage for the system.
  • Any lights on the posts should be on their own batteries/chargers to prevent issues.
