Windows Embedded allows for very strict management of endpoints, where the system is basically "locked" and nothing can be written to the disk. This is much like the "SteadyState" and "DeepFeeeze" products.

Unfortunately it can, depending on how it is configured, suffer from the same limitations. No Remote Management!

With Microsoft Windows 7 Standard Embedded, there is another option!
