Depth Sensor for detecting Lake Depth

Concept

Water pressure increases in a as a constant. If an air pressure sensor is enclosed in a water proof container, and submerged, the pressure reading should correlate to depth, once ambient air pressure is accounted for.

It may not even be necessary to account for ambient air pressure.
